Answers along the neural network route

Clear responses about what NeuralPathway teaches, how cohorts work, and what we explicitly do not provide. Read each section below — our FAQ uses tab-style panels, not accordions, so all answers remain visible without interaction.

Capstone presentation context at NeuralPathway
Neuroscience

Are these brain-training or mental wellness programmes?

No. When we say neural, we mean computational models in machine learning — artificial neural networks, deep learning architectures, and PyTorch engineering. NeuralPathway does not offer neuroplasticity coaching, cognitive brain games, clinical neurology, mental health treatment, or any form of neuroscience therapy. Our curriculum covers activation functions, backpropagation, gradient descent, convolutional neural networks, recurrent networks, transformer fundamentals, and practical AI projects. If you are seeking brain wellness or cognitive rehabilitation services, please consult appropriate licensed healthcare providers — we are a vocational AI training provider at 1 Hunter Street East in Hamilton, not a wellness clinic.

Agency

Are you an AI consulting agency or web design studio?

No. NeuralPathway is not an AI consulting agency, web design studio, marketing firm, SEO service, or IT outsourcing provider. We do not build client websites, develop custom software on retainer, manage paid advertising campaigns, or sell managed AI services for hire. Our sole purpose is structured vocational education in neural network fundamentals and deep learning engineering through instructor-led cohorts, hybrid Hamilton sessions, self-paced pathways, and corporate upskilling programmes that teach your team — not deliverables produced on your behalf. If you need agency services, you should engage a consulting firm; if you want to learn how neural networks work and build models yourself, NeuralPathway is the appropriate provider.

Prerequisites

What background do I need before enrolling?

NP-001 Neural Network Fundamentals requires comfortable Python programming and basic linear algebra — vectors, matrices, and elementary calculus concepts. We state prerequisites clearly on our programmes page and during pathway advisory sessions. We do not assume prior deep learning experience; the fundamentals pathway covers multilayer perceptrons from first principles. Advanced programmes such as NP-003 CNNs, NP-004 RNNs, NP-005 Transformers, and NP-009 Capstone expect completion of earlier waypoints or equivalent demonstrated competence. Honest prerequisite enforcement protects cohort pace and ensures you gain durable skills rather than struggling through material you are not yet prepared to absorb.

Certificates

What does a completion certificate represent?

Completion certificates attest to course participation and successful fulfilment of module milestones within a NeuralPathway programme. They do not constitute university degrees, college diplomas, professional engineering licensure, or industry certifications from third-party bodies unless explicitly stated otherwise. Certificates do not guarantee employment, salary increases, or job placement. Learning outcomes depend on prerequisites met, practice time outside scheduled sessions, and individual aptitude. We issue certificates because structured documentation of training participation matters for professional development records — not because a certificate alone qualifies you as a senior machine learning engineer.

Delivery

Can I study online if I live outside Hamilton?

Yes. Live online cohort delivery serves Canadian learners nationwide — from British Columbia to Atlantic Canada. You attend scheduled live sessions via video conference, complete PyTorch labs on your own machine, and participate in instructor office hours remotely. Hybrid Hamilton format adds optional in-person lab intensives at our Suite 404 campus for learners who can travel to downtown Hamilton. Self-paced pathways provide asynchronous module access with monthly office hours for those who need maximum schedule flexibility. All formats follow the same pathway navigator milestones regardless of your province of residence.

Pricing

How much do programmes cost?

We publish C$ pricing ranges on our programmes page for transparency. NP-001 Fundamentals runs C$1,790 – C$2,140 for twelve weeks; NP-003 CNNs C$2,050 – C$2,490; NP-004 RNNs C$2,150 – C$2,590; NP-005 Transformers C$2,290 – C$2,750; NP-007 PyTorch Lab C$1,990 – C$2,380; and NP-009 Capstone C$2,390 – C$2,850. Final tuition depends on delivery format, early-enrolment windows, and whether you bundle multiple programmes. Corporate upskilling quotes are scoped separately based on team size and scheduling requirements. Payment plans may be available — contact us for current options. We do not use bait-and-switch pricing or hide fees behind enquiry forms.

Employment

Do you guarantee machine learning jobs after completion?

No. NeuralPathway does not guarantee employment, internships, recruiting placement, or specific salary outcomes. AI career development depends on your prior experience, portfolio quality, networking, geographic market, and sustained practice beyond course completion. Our capstone programme includes presentation coaching and portfolio documentation guidance, but we are educators — not recruiters or staffing agencies. We will not promise that completing NP-009 alone qualifies you for senior roles at major technology companies. We will teach you neural network engineering with integrity and help you present your work professionally.

Tools

May course exercises use AI-assisted coding tools?

Yes, with conditions. Course exercises may permit AI-assisted tools such as code completion assistants or large language model interfaces where instructors specify acceptable use. You remain responsible for understanding, verifying, and explaining every submission. Outputs from generative tools require human verification — blind copy-paste without comprehension violates our academic integrity expectations and undermines your learning. Instructors discuss appropriate tool use during orientation and module briefings. The goal is professional AI engineering competence, not shortcut-dependent completion of assignments you cannot reproduce independently.
